Warm and affirmative, 'Yes' is the uplifting title-track of Laura Groves' forthcoming EP. Floating in similar realm to the sparkling works of TOPS, Wild Nothing or Virginia Wing, there's a good level of lo-fi wonk in the distant guitar work of 'Yes'. Encouraged forward by nostalgic and uncomplicated beats, Groves' airy vocals soar unencumbered over the soundscape, shaking off old energy and welcoming something new as she explains: “I wanted to capture the feeling of finding joy again after a long period of sadness, entering into the unknown against a backdrop of deep unrest and uncertainty.
